Retablos are three-dimensional boxes with figures inside depicting a story of either religious significance or everyday life. Our artisan partners in Peru are using this centuries-old art form to tell the story of Jesus’ birth in beautiful nativities. Intricately hand-painted in jewel tones fit for a king, the Regal Retablo is crafted by our artisan partners working with Intercrafts Peru.

4. Large Coiled Paper Nativity

This eye-catching nativity is handmade by women in Vietnam who are able to work in their homes using this traditional skill, earning sustainable incomes while caring for their children.
